Christmas!

Christmas this year did NOT feel like Christmas at all.
Maybe it’s cause I stopped celebrating it like I used to, got tired of participating in a set up to make people buy things. I give gifts to folks because I want to not because I HAVE to, and I feel that these holidays are used to do just that instead of what it’s really to be celebrated. We should celebrate love and warmth on a daily basis not just Xmas, and to show love and appreciation doesn’t have to be buying things.

Anyway, I enjoyed the evening by driving down 4th street in Los Angeles to see some beautiful lighting, it gives it sort of a raining effect, a rather different type of lighting than the ones I have seen. Then went around Long Beach, but found the town sleeping.

Lovely Los Angeles.

La Virgen Art Exhibit

On Dec 13, 2009, I went to my little sister’s art exhibit reception in Long Beach. I guess it’d sound biased, but my sister’s work was the best. Her emotions were fully visible in her creation and it made me cry. Go visit the exhibit to read the truth behind the art work. Love you sis, very very proud of you, you have overcome.

Picture This Gallery in the LBC!

Found her piece by the window!

La Virgen exhibit obviously is an exhibit on the Virgin Mary. The other pieces I saw were the Virgin in the sacred, god-like form. Yet my sister expressed the human-like form through emotions, at the loss of her son. Please read the description when you see her art work. Only those who have suffered know.

So proud.

And so, a proud big sister threw a party for the amazing artist! Love you!

I created a facebook fan page for her art, find her link under my facebook pages tab, or add me on Soula Wear to find her fan page there too! Thanks for the love and support.

Getting old…

I can’t believe I used to do this every single day. Bouncing from one place to another, auditions to shows; work to studio, barley getting any sleep. I finally got my pass back for the entertainment world, and damn, it was tiring! From the journeys I have gotten mentally stronger, but perhaps physically weaker? I blame it on my age.

Anyway, it was an interesting day at the Embassy getting the visa stuff taken care of to go overseas, ugh, still lots to do. Then I paraded my way over to the great Universal City for Usher’s Music Video Castingamajig… it was interesting, and lots and lots of energy and talent.

Back at the photo lab working on some new projects and trying to get stuff set for the new Soula Wear-ness. Website coming soon, ahhhh! I’m just hyped up.

Oh the way back from the Embassy early morning.
